Within a few years of human genome project, the scenario of genetic diagnostic services based on DNA disorders expanded exponentially.

Realising the need to expand the arena of services as a part of its growth plan, in 2018 her NABL and CAP accredited centre - CGHC teamed up with the leader in molecular diagnostic MedGenome Labs Pvt. Ltd. who wished to launch its Mumbai centre.

Founded in 2013, MedGenome Labs Pvt. Ltd. is a global leader in personalized medicine with unique genomic solutions in immuno-oncology, diabetes, ophthalmology, cardiology and other rare diseases. In addition to the wet-lab capabilities, MedGenome is also the founding member of the Genome Asia 100K, an initiative to sequence 100,000 Genomes in Asia, which will enable us to provide a unique resource of genetic research for the world. Through its extensive presence in the Indian sub-continent, It has access to data that provides insights into genetic diversity of Indian population for more than 4,500 population groups.

With this joint venture MedGenome CGHC has cross functional team of medical geneticists, scientists, bioinformatics etc. It can have a larger pool of genetic counsellors with enhanced depth and experience across multiple therapy areas, and latest techniques and will augment the quality of life and care.

It can now, provide a wide range of molecular tests across all specialties like reproductive, neurology, nephrology oncology, cardiology, ENT, endocrinology, ophthalmology, rare diseases etc. bringing a lot of synergy providing unique opportunity for doctors and patients to leverage each others' strengths.
